Precourse “Pediatric Trauma”

Course is 8 hours in English.

Focus group: anaesthesiologist, anaesthesiology and intensive-care nurse, paediatrician, paediatrician nurse, emergency doctor, emergency nurse, residents. Up to 20 participants

The aims:

This will be hands-on simulation course and e-learning materials should be read before.

The course focuses are on the special needs of young trauma patients. You will learn the principles of proper assessment, management and critical interventions of paediatric patients from baby to teenager. The practical skills you gain will enable you to feel confident and competent when you care for a critically injured child.

The issues will be covered:

• Paediatric patient assessment and management;
• Airway management, surgical airway and thoracic trauma;
• Fluid resuscitation;
• Trauma team
